is the under tray on?
have you checked the water pump?
radiator hoses?
have you pressure tested the cooling system?
what kind of gasket did you use?
what was the condition of the block surface?

I have had many cars that would over heat including supra's and everything looks good on them...but 9 times out of 10 its the Rad. Its probably cloged and you can't even tell. Save your self endless hours of head ache and buy a new Rad.

Just get your car warm to where you think it is overheating, then shut it off and move your hand around the face of the radiator looking for cold spots.

If the temps on the radiator are uneven then yes it may be plugged.

We need more info here though. How long does it take to over heat? Please answer the rest of Johnathans, Supradreams and Allan's questions so we can try and help.. :)

I would get a new radiator cap. before I bought a new radiator...

Get the test kit that looks for exhaust gasses in the coolant system...

Yes, do what Joel said, that's great advice!

As far as the Supra being in the shop, mine has been in countless times, like waaay more than I care to even think about... haha, and I do a lot of work to it myself too! It's always under the knife!
