Sup guys, thought id post up progress of a swap im doing on a friends car for him.
Total process would take 2-3 days max so finished pics will be within a day.

1989 7mge/Auto <========== WEAKNESS I KNOW

Swapping in a 1JZ setup for him (which was my old setup)

1JZGTE/ Auto (Comfortable, fast dd was the goal, Auto suits him better than manual)
Custom Ex manifold
T70 Trubo
DM 48mm Wastegate
600cc Injectors
Top feed Fuel rail
Walbro 255
CX FMIC / Piping
CX BOV


He just got the car repainted and by far one of the cleanest jobs ive seen.

This is a 3 day swap, im taking my time to have everything installed the way i want it to be.

Enough talk and onto pics.

DAY 1

Pull my car out of the garage and back his in.

Excuse the dirtiness of the car, it was snowing and he drove it to my place.

Updates!!

Unbolted the front bumper support to make it easier to get rid of all the A/C system.

Now for the goodies, installed Ex. Manifold

I was surprised at the great quality with this t3/t4 adapter and sure as hell looks nice!

Mock up of the turbo before install

Cleaned up quite a bit of the engine bay, more fine detailing soon,

Bolted up the auto transmission, and swapped all the linkage/ speedo from the old 7m auto to the 1j auto

Getting ready to drop it in !

Ahh here we go, that's much better better.

Rewired the harness and tucked it real nice. Test fitted the turbo and clears the hood. still have to clock it and run piping.

Minor things to do left before we start her up!


Should have it done by tomorrow night, turbo should spool pretty good on this setup!

Ok finally got around to some pics,

Car is done, starts up and drives. Having some missfiring issues though, and the trans must be manually shifted (example, Must start in L then shift up to 2 then D) If im at a stop and keep it in D, the car stays in 4th gear and moves very slow.

Im assuming its wiring, if anyone has any ideas please let me know.

As for pics, i got some of the progress

Took the fuel tank out, and installed a walbro 255

Got the intercooler mounted up and pipes ran.

I do have the hood/bumper on also , but car needs a wash so will take new ones tomorrow.
