operation i wanna drive my supra again!!!!!!

This is going to be my first ever engine build.
i want my supra to be running and to work the bugs out by july 5th cause i want to drive to my first day of college in my supra and not get dropped off in my moms camry:nono:.wish me luck and give me lots of advice im going to need it.

i just ordered 1500 dollars worth of parts for this rebuild.

good condition ct26
3inch non divorced dp
tms 2mm mhg arp headbolts
greddy timing belt
walbro 255
autometer boost gauge
autometer wideband
valve cover gasket kit
full clevite 77 bearing kit
and a safc2
a coilpack and 5 speed ecu

My block and head were sent to the local machine shop both are back and waiting for the suprastore and driftmotion parts to arrive in the mail.

Did you get a chance to measure the decks after machining? Just wondering about that hg thickness...anyways, gl with your rebuild. Sounds like it's gonna be good.

Looks like a good project but yeah, nobody likes to tilt their head sideways to see pictures. Try just taking them upright or flip them when you upload them :biglaugh:

When i took my head to the shop the guy said that my head had been cut before so since he is resurfacing it again he recommended a 2mm mhg.

thanks again i cant wait to do the conversion i always hated the pre89 tailights.in also going to get a new from toyota 89+ bumper and side mirrors.

are you selling me the parts cause your getting out of the supra world or do you have another supra your working on?

No problem mate.
My supras been sittin in the driveway since last november with a cooked motor. That tail light actually came off of my 87 parts car, that had the 89+ tail light conversion, which is kindly donating the motor to my 89. Wish i could help you with the bumpers and mirrors. Its got maroon interior, let me know if you need anything else. I'm hoping to bring my 89 back to life this summer. The only time its moved in the last 8 months is when my dad clipped the fender with the plow during a snowstorm :3d_frown: I'm throwing my jetta on ebay next week to generate the money to revive it.
