Open slip and I'm still making two tires marks?

Hey guys, I'm in a dilemma here. I checked out Jeff Langes suggestion of looking in the door jam, where it shows the tranny, then the numbers, and it ends with a 4, which meant open slip. :nono: But, if so, here is something I'm puzzled about, when I did my good burnout a couple weeks ago, I left two tires marks, both were pretty damn even too. Here are some pics to prove it:

YES, I was thinking this, I'll have to look into it. How will I know, what do I look for when looking at the diff. under the car?

Yeah someone must have swapped the diff on the car. Did it leave equal tire marks multiple times? If it did that must be the case. But a definite way you can tell that the car has a lsd is to jack the rear end up and spin one of the wheels, transmission in nuetral of course, if the other drive wheel spins in the same direction as the one your spinning you have a lsd. Cars with an open diff will spin the other drive wheel in the opposite direction

Doesnt the Diff housing have LSD stamped into it if it is an LSD?

My 87 NA auto light up both tires evenly. It also digs into concrete and ashphalt to the same depth. The deepest I went was 2.5 inces in. I dunno, it happens everytime I do a brake stand. I should get pics of it sometime, or even a video.

I'm gonna look today and see if I can find the LSD sticker. If I can't find it, then I'll do that wheel spinning test.

Wouldn't it be easier just to spin your wheels than look through the dirt under your car bro?

as long as you have the car jacked up to spin the wheels, wouldnt it be just as easy to slide under and check the sticker? look on the center rear of the diff to see the sticker, right in front of the jacking point. thats where i found mine

But having said that TruTrac do a preloaded Torsen style diff that will turn em both the same way !

I have ask..This ia an N/A supra??..and do you have auto or manual?..I can barley get my tires to chirp w/o power braking.:icon_surp
