Are the two bolts that i can see from the drivers side of the engine the ones i need to remove, they are in a tight spot but it looks like i can get to the starter bolts from here, i actually started loseing the bottom one and now i just need to get a wrench on the other side of the bolt to stop making it spin while i loosen bolt, but are thses the right ones to remove the whole starter before i go riping something else out plese help
also has any one done this from the top of the motor then being under it and is it possiable i have skinny arms and don't mind cuts and scrapes just wana know if these are the bolts

Yes, there are two bolts with nuts on the other end. They are on a bit of a diagonal from each other, but one is definately on the top and one on the bottom. With some skillful wrist and arm bending, you should eventually be able to get the upper one from the top, and then I would attack the lower one from under the car.

I've taken it off at least 3 times already. I've found the best way at it is to go from the bottom for both bolts. The bottom one is easy. For the top one, just reach over and feel where the bolt is and then put a ratchet up there handle first and just mate it to the bolt. Not much room to loosen it but it will work.

Late models don't have the Nuts the starter is tapped so the bolts screw directly into it!

A good case for upgrading to the newer version if you're in the position to be taking your older-model starter off anyway.

OMG now you tell me.. Well, next time I'll use one. For now its running and it'll be fine.. Just got to YANK THE TRANNY OUT AGAIN. So I can put that stupid pilot bearing in that I thought "It seems ok" to begin with.. Now squeeling on top end from front of tranny. sucks.
