So this is pretty badass. Its put on by some crazy people down in Ochoppee, Florida. Don't know if any of you live there but I will be going to it! My buddy's machine shop has a 1000awhp twin turbo SRT-8 Jeep Grand Cherokee that is going to be running.

where's the link to the BMW that hit the embankment at the end of a landing strip and got sweet air and killed all those kids? That's what comes to my mind...

When I read the "Sweet air" I was all like "oh cool" then I read the "killed all those kids" and kinda bummed out...

But this sounds pretty cool, what kinda speeds do you normally see in the top 10 for a mile?

is the track only one mile long total? i would hate to over shoot it and not have room to brake..

There is a one mile shot to hit your top speed and a .9 mile braking area. So there is plenty of room.

Most of the N/A and boosted Camaro's and Mustangs and such get to around 160ish mph. A lot of the cars run spray as well. So you see the nitrous and boost/nitrous cars hit in the 180mph range. Nitrous is your friend when it comes to this stuff. My buddy in his 6.0liter LQ9 based Camaro is running a two stage 350 shot (200 then an extra 150 for 4th gear on). And a 350 shot on a L series motor is easily 400+lbs/trq. But he is waiting for his T56 to get back from the tranny store. So he doesn't know if he will be able to make it this year.

But the main thing is the gear. You cannot get any where close to 200mph with a 4.10 gear. Most guys put in the auto spec 2.73 gear.
