Now i know there are tons of mapping diagrams for the 7mgte and i've studied them all. i'm no master mechanic and i have an odd setup/issue with how i received the car.

*now plz before you make judgement for what i'm about to tell you...I did not do this to the car I am a grown man with children I would not make this decision I traded a TV for this car (awesome deal) and it was growing trees off the valves..but I digress*

so the IMG above shows what im missing off the car. I have fully rebuilt the engine from pistons up, cut down he trees and polished everything all nice n fancy. Runs great but I KNOW the vacuum is jacked or the hose routing etc.

-----*sigh* im also missing the power steering pump ..completely *----- and i know that also has lines running to that little valve thing on the bottom of it.

That big vacuum nipple on the left side of the intake next to the fuel pressure reg is just capped. I looked around online saw some ppl capping it most not. what exactly was happening here? I have both the VTV everything else but i have no idea how to run this stuff to make it work especially without the metal hose router/plenum?

I live in rural Iowa so if its possible to not have to buy a new PS pump and metal router that's no big deal but I don't fully understand how to tie into the rest or make it correct without it.

Do I absolutely need them both? can this even be done?

Like I said car runs great no errors but I know this should be rectified.

Any Ideas? OR is it find a pump and metal router. both fairly hard to find in my neck of the woods..Literally :p

So I checked out the Video thank you so very much for taking out time just to make me a video Extremely appreciative. I do have that Idle hose you were talking about but the bypass valve was never going to anything when first had car. In the picture above I ask the question can the BPV be hooked directly to the thing that is capped on mine then, if just needs vacuum?
In the pic I also have a long hose I have everything pulled out to show whats there. I don't have that metal pipe thing that you had under the intake manifold that mounts the VTV's i think they called the little electronic gates.

last question is I'm not sire I have the Fuel pressure regular thingy in the correct spot. I have it running to the throttle body nipple mine like you said as an american edition has the 2 not the single jdm.

Thank you again your info is appreciated immensely.

BPV just needs vacuum signal post Throttle Body, so yes, that capped elbow nipple on the front of the plenum is fine.

Fuel pressure regulator: The VSV controls if the Regulator sees vacuum or not. The VSV should be plumbed to a good vacuum source on one end and plumbed to the VSV on the other end. The little pipe thing you're missing helps accomplish that by acting as a "T" in a few places. You can get around that, but you'll need to use a few "T"s.

That's the factory plumbing above. Part 17650 is the VSV you need. The hose coming off of that to the right (I believe) should see vacuum. The hose to the left should go to the Fuel Pressure Regulator.

The view in the above diagram makes it hard to see what's going on in the metal pipe you're missing, but essentially you have 3 "channels". There's EGR vacuum, Regular vacuum and FPR vacuum. EGR vacuum goes from the TB tothe EGR VSV on the right. Regular vacuum is the largest diameter pipe and starts at the big elbow nipple you have capped. It then breaks off to the power steering line to the left, and fuel pressure regulator via VSV 17650. THe fuel pressure regulator line takes the output of the VSV and helps route it to the actual FPR in the fuel rail.

Clear as mud?

This is very very helpful. Is it ok if I route my lines with this description and take some pictures for you to double check? I never really was the greatest with vacuum, but I don't want to come across as "YOU NEED TO FIX MY CAR!" :p

This will help me alot I kinda fuzzy on my vsv set up. The good news is i do have both! the other one in that picture is just hanging below the intake so i could pull up a line :D. I have some T's to route i am only missing the power steering valve thing after the t's.

I will be home from work at 4PM Central Time CST for an update with pics on the attempt.

Edit: are the vsv directional? Does the vacuum side need to b on correct vsv inlet/outlet?
I see the diagram way but just out of my own curiosities was wondering.

I'm always happy to help someone that can read/comprehend and is appreciative (unfortunately those can be rare qualities at times). I'll help where i can. :)

The VSV directions: I'm not sure how they'd work going the wrong way, but the OEMs are always installed so the drum looking thing is on the output. Regular vacuum should be on the other side.

So what cha think? These aren't permanent mounting spots just don't want to cut exact length of the high density hose until its right :D

If correct this should take care of those and exclude the PS pump to accordion.

The fuel pressure VSV looks backwards to me. That and your T is more at home in a garage than an engine bay, haha. I'd grab something like this from your local car parts store just to clean that up a bit.

hehe I'm srry I was just being a jack wagon with that adapter :p I have some decent ones I was giggling as I made that lol.

anywho so the output is actually Leaving the FPR unlike entering the EGR then? Or am i Just looking at the vsv wrong on that one
I'm not questioning your remark on the backwards vsv on fpr only trying to understand all this  ^^'
You have been awesome :D

Edit: the back of that one with the face also says 50 HP!!!! <-im srry im a dork

Well with that being said you follow me to the end holding my tender hand all this way :p I was looking into your shock installation and excited to start that after a transmission mount replacement.

Just wanted to let you know I truly am thankful for all your help. It seems like an empty thank you over the internet but if your ever passing through Iowa Look me up. I once again appreciate everything you did for me, troubleshooting and the video. Cant thank you enough.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU :)

-Cheers-

I'm sure ill be around with another problem eventually haha. I am after all, no master mechanic ^^'

Haha, funny guy. No problem. I actually have lots of video and pictures saved on my PC doing similar explanations, just not directly aimed at a given prompt from anyone else. I just haven't had time to finish/publish them. I'm trying to get my site ramped up, but I just never make the time. Youtube has a lot of potential as a media outlet and revenue generator so my help isn't necessarily altruistic. ;)

Glad to help with anything else though. Let me know if you have other questions or topics and if it's something I can easily answer I'll start to expand my catalog.
