had a customer come in with knocking and a tinging

pulled motor, stripped and found.............

consequently crank & block are screwed!!!!
pistons are ok LOL

did a compression check (cold tho, but needed an idea)
120-150 thought that was a bit too low even cold

did a check on the new one to put in... #1-3 leaking cam covers and tons of oil fell in got 210 LOL
but rest that didn't have oil get in were 170
so in theory no bhg to come...... yet LOL
i think we'll change it anyhow

yea thrust washers... and i couldn't get the crank to actually move... but while it was running i guess she walked miles

yeeeks.... hehe.. yeah that stuff is fun... i just found oil all over the underside of my hood yesterday, i decided to check the tightness off the valve covers.... the right side valve cover wasn't even remotelly tightened, so oil was leaking out and getting thrown onto the hood by the the belts out front.... ugh.... but, yeah ... enough about this completelly unrelated incident....
