I am getting ready for Head Gasket replacement. I think I am going to go with the HKS 1.2 bead type. Is this a good one? Also how do I know if my block has ever been milled down any? Last question is with the LEX AFM and 550 do you need a AFPR, or can you use the stock fuel lines and fuel pump. Thanks for the help.

HKS bead type is good. Without the service history on your car, the only way to tell if your block has been milled would be to pull it out and have a machine shop measure it's height. With the Lexus AFM and 550s you *can* run with the stock fuel lines and pump, however, replacement items in this category make for some nice insurace.

if you can afford one now, then yeah you might as well put an adjustable one on. aeromotive afpr is very popular. in fact, i just installed mine today!

I know this may sound stupid but does the AFPR need to be adjusted or does it adjust itself? Also is it hard to put on and if it is a manual adjustment, how do you know how to adjust it right? Thanks

you have to adjust it. stock fuel pressure is from between 36psi and 40psi. start at 36, and adjust from there to 40 until your car idles right.
