ok i did a 7mgte swap into a N/A body and when you turn the key sometimes it will start and sometimes it wont on the times that it doesnt start it just clickes (1 time) but i think that that was the starter well i went out to try it a few minutes ago and it turned over for a few seconds so i let out of the key so that i could try it again but when i tried it again all i get is a humming noise from the ecu (((( any suggestions))))

i think you'd get more responses if you used punctuation. :) honestly, it's a bit hard to read the post, simply because it's one gigantic sentence!

but, i had that same problem, and it turned out to be a dead short in my battery. i replaced the battery, reset the breaker in the driver's side kick panel, and it hasnt given me a problem since.

good luck!

how do i reset the kick panel thing? Do you think that it was the battary in the first place when it was making the 1 click noise instead of the starter? when it would do the "click", i could turn the crank pully with a rachette and most of the time it would start the next time i tried it.

Is there a difference in the starters between the n/a and turbo? If they are different the starter gear could be not engaging properly and essentially ramming itself into the ring gear. Mine will sometimes grind and not turn over as I suspect the ring gear is damaged

Could be a bad battery as suggested or could also be a bad electrical connection on the starter or relay.

Amen. I can't tell you how many posts I ignore based on this alone. Writing is crafting. It's no different than crafting anything using your brain and hands. Take some some pride in it. Anyone can come across as an idiot you know, it takes no skill at all.

May be a bad starter. Try hitting the starter with something before u try to start the car. Try it a few times as it may not work the first time.

If you do this, I'd suggest unhooking the battery. Hit that starter in the wrong place with something metallic, you or something else is gonna get juiced!

oh yeah another thing, when i get in to the car the door bell dings loud, but when i turn the key and it makes the "humming noise" as long as i hold the key turned it gets weaker and weaker like the battery dieing, but then when i let out of the key it dings loud again.
