I keep haveing oil contaminate my coolant even after a coolant flush
( 3 times now). The car isn't overheating nor does there appear to be any coolant contaminating the oil. I do notice white smoke out of the exhaust but the weather is rather cold this time of the year. There is a gurgling sound coming from the dash but it may be due to a small crack in the top radiator tank (I haven't tried burping the car yet). the car is a 87 NA supra auto, 197K km bone stock. The car has never been abused and been religiously maintained since its purchase in 87. I know its probably a BHG and have been preparing to do a head rebuild but was just wondering if it could be anything else. Should I get the compression check/coolant emssions test done to be sure? Considering the age and mileage of the engine should i just go ahead with the rebuild?

Do a compression test and leak down test, post results.. 90% positive that its BHG :)

yup as everyone on here knows the 7M's go thru head gaskets like diapers!! You need to replace with aftermarket studs and a aftermarket steel gasket at around 70 ft lbs instead of the stock 40. (dont quote me on the numbers) After this pain in the ass job you wont have to worry about it anymore!
