Hey guys. I have a problem. I have a 7mgte that just got rebuilt, and how I started noticing that there is oil burning off my manifold and I have no idea where its coming from. Its not the valve cover seal, I checked that today. Is there anything on the backside of the motor that oil runs through? I don't know guys. Thanks.

I'm guessing the exhaust manifold since its burning, check the cps o-ring if its towards the front, there may not be one there..

can you see burnt oil on the manifold?
are you sure the oil is burning on the outside of the manifold, it could be oil inside the manifold?
how much oil are you burning?

I swapped out my turbo a few weeks ago and when i was done, there was smoke rolling from the exhaust side. i got nervous and couldnt figure it out. turns out the penetrating oil i used to get the nuts off was burning. it went away after a good drive. just a thought:sarcasm:

If you're absolutely certain it's not the valve cover gasket, then I vote for the cps seal. It's the only other thing above the exhaust, that could leak oil.
