oil questions.

OK My car has a bhg as most of u know. So i figure since the oil in it might have the chance of contmanation figured I would buy some new oil too put in it. SO right now that car has 10w-30 Quaker state high horspower engine oil. Its a synthetic blend as well. And I recently bought some Mobil 1 super synthetic 5W-30. The mobil 1 says its new engine forumal or something along that lines.

My engine has 45,000 km on it as its a JDM 7M-GTE

It is also getting colder out as winter is coming around. Do u think this mobil 1 5W-30 synthetic was a good purchases???

No the car is currently parked as im waiting on parts to come in. But im talking of switching the mobil 1 in and the quaker state out after the hg gets fixed.

EDIT:also remeber I will be driving my car this winter and it can get very cold here in saskatchewan.
