i am not sure if the feed that goes into the block from the oil pump (off of the hard line) is a pipe type thread or not, but i have torqued it as much as i could but about 1/4 of the threads are still emerging, is this okay? i didn't go any further because i did not want to damage the block or send microsized shavings into my fresh block(i know my piston rings will do this, but why add to it?)

Where the fitting screws into the block is a pipe fitting...1/2" BSP iirc...NPT fittings will not work. I don't remember the size of the nut that holds the tube from the pump, but it should be tight enough to where the tube will not move up/down on the block fitting.

Thanks for the correction...couldn't remember if it was 1/2" or 3/8". Did know it was BSP ;)
