we can't find much of a different thats why we were asking about the 2a and the 2b.. We arent sure if we got the correct oil pump back from the machine shop.. Like.. two non-turbo pumps or two turbo pumps?

Also.. is there a different in 87-88/89-92 NA and turbo pumps??

for example.. 87-88 non-turbo number may be 1a.. while 89-92 non-turbo is 1b.

But 87-88 turbo is 2a, and 89-92 is 2b??

the high volume pump gear is on the right, and here's a pic of the lid

and the under side of the lid,

notice the dowl pins in the lid to keep it from moving, this was the 2a pump. the 2b pump did not have these.
