The car is an 87 turbo 5 speed,
The issue is i get no reading on my oil pressure gauge on the cluster at all, I have had it give a little wiggle here and there when started cold. I got a used sensor off a member here just to see if it helped. I went to install it and what i got from the sm member looks nothing like what i have on the car already. I attached a photo i used as a reference for the location and the sensor i received from the sm member looks just like the one in the pic. Do the sensors vary from pre 89 to 89+, auto to 5 speed, or turbo to non turbo? I would really like to have that gauge working.

The one in the picture you posted is correct...they are common across years. You may have a JDM sending unit on your motor. If so, I hope it did not fry your gauge ;)

That’s my motor 7M-GTE 1990 (UK model) I took that just as I was dropping the engine back in. I can confirm that’s your bog standard Toyota oil sender unit for a UK Supra. PS: The photo in the first posting #1

That looks to be a resistive type sending unit. The USDM gage will not work with it and there is a fair chance the gage was toasted by having it in there. To check remove the wire from the sending unit and ground it, but only as long as it takes to see the gage move. Do not leave it grounded longer than it takes the gage to reach maximum. If the gage checks out install the correct sender and hope for the best...
