Oil Pressure Quirk

Hey,

I've got a peculiar problem with my oil pressure. When I go WOT and the RPMs rise very rapidly, the oil pressure actually dips down. If I were to slowly accelerate up to some higer RPM, the oil pressure would gradually build.

This weirdness only happens on occasion but it is enough to concern me greatly. The way I usually remedy it is to add a little more oil or do an oil change so I know I have the right amount of oil in (my dipstick is kinda f'ed up since I'm NA-T and the turbo dipstick was not inserted all the way into the block...and I'm lazy).

Has anyone else experienced this before? Any suggestions?

Oh, and one important thing to add, I have an oil filter relocation kit with a thermostatically controlled oil cooler so that adds on considerably more piping which might be the reason for this.

Thanks,

Alex

The drop in volume could be a drainage problem, like the oil is not returning to the pan as quick as it should. Running something other than 10W-30?
