Can anyone help me out and take a picture of the oil pressure sending unit on a 7m that you use the adaptor from driftmotion to the 1jz block on. I'd really appreciate it.

So I have to take AC pump off to get to it? Especially with the engine in the car. Is it in the same place on a 7m as a 1jz?

Does anyone have an extra 7m oil pressure sender unit?

The 7m oil pressure sender unit is near the p/s pump on the exhaust side, the jz's is behind the a/c compressor. that picture is of a JZ engine with the driftmotion adaptor and a 7m oil pressure sender so look for that gold thing (the plug to it has a gray boot covering it)

and its easiest to get to it by taking the a/c off and i would use loctite on the threading when you install just like you are putting a new oem one on. you can always check the TSRM from the mkiii or mkiv supras

post in the wanted section (what i did got it for 20 shipped)

i just received and installed a used one i bought today - i would ask for the plug and boot to it as well so it keeps the normal protection rather than be exposed. i suggest installing this before you put engine in as i just installed the adaptor early on and just now installed the 7m's oil pressure sender with everything installed and it was a PITA lol but i got it done.

also use loctite or something when installing em ;)

i have the hose and pressure sender, but my sensor is stuck in the block. can anyone confirm if that hex head plug to the left of the stock sensor location is an oil pressure port?

not sure what you are talking about - sensor shouldnt be stuck you must not be using the right tools... if i remember right i used a big socket and a breaker bar (remember glue is on the thread there and you'll need to do it again)

I hate to jump start an old thread, but I need a little more help. The port that you plug the driftmotion adaptor into, do I take the wire from the old sensor and put the plug for the 7m oil sender on there. The TSRM was no help to me on this. Thanks

You use the same plug off the 1jz,(The plug from the 7m and 1jz are the same) its really not a plug its just like a slip on plug, that slips into the top of the 7m sensor.

I'll take a pic tomorrow, but the sensor on mine has a female spade like connector and my plug is like a male spade connector. I'm sure that I have the right sensor, but like I said I'll take a pic tomorrow.

It would be even more easier if you could take the ac compressor off also. i think ( correct me if i'm wrong but its suppose to be a yellow/black wire that plugs into the sender itself).

i would love to see how the DM.com adaptor looks installed before i get one. If it just hangs there i dont like that idea i would want it mounted somehow to give it a more decent look. Im not trying to be picky.
