Oil Pressure at Idle

i am getting my Supra back from a long 6 month rebuild tomorrow but my mechanic drove it to my work today and wanted to confirm that the oil pressure at idle is supposed to be so low, it's pretty much lookin like its at zero, the manual he has on it say that oil pressure at Idle is 4.3 pounds, just wanna make sure this sounds right and i dont need a new oil pressure switch..

normal... tsrm says so.. we have a high volume low pressure system. Nothing to worry about

What does the pressure rise to at 3000 rpm??? I'm starting to feel better about my oil pressure now seeing all the people saying 6 - 8psi at idle is normal I was sweating because mine is between 12 - 15 at idle when fully warmed up. It also depends what oil your running if your running a very light weight oil (0w40) will see less pressure.

i use 15/40. at idle when warm i see about 20. arount 3k, i see 40 pounds.

Same here never see much above 40 psi. I run 10w 30

same here candy, most of the time at idle I'm around/just above 20 on the stock guage.
<disclaimer: I idle at around 1100 most of the time, so grain of salt is required with my numbers>
