oil pan replacement?

have to replace my oil pan and reading everywhere you have to pull the engine or take off the brace under then have it realigned and its a bitch

anyone have an easy way?

or a write up would be nice but cant seem to find one

The guy that took mine off my parts car had to sawzall the crossmember off. He said either that or drop the tranny.

pulling the motor is your best bet. just remove the shit in front like the rad and fans and ps pump and a/c compressor. disconnect the engine harness from the ecu and just pull the engine tranny at once. should take more than like 2-3 hours to get it out and will save you alot less of a head ache. if you look at your car theres only about maybe 1/2 max between the pan and subframe. so either drop the subframe with the engine supported or pull the motor.

undo the part of the intake that crosses over exhaust manifold to AFM, might have to undo radiator hoses, unbolt motor mounts, unbolt transmission mount, jack up transmission until the engine is about 3" up... you don't want to jack up the CAR just the engine/tranny so you have clearance to remove the pan. it's recommended you have some sort of extra support for this, jackstands, chain hoist, etc.
