Oil pan gasket

I noticed oil is leaking from the oil pan. I am assuming the oil pan gasket is bad. Anybody have any tips on doing it. It looks like alot of work, looks like i have to drop the rack & pinion, and alot more.

Definetely faster anyway.

Dont go cheap. Get the FIPG.

^^Yes sir... FIPG is THE ONLY way to go.
Ask your Toyota dealer for a tube of it.

Yep. I always keep one unopened box in my toolbox and one tube on the rollaway.

Do you have to use Toyota Goo? Isn't Black high temp RTV acceptible?

I've seen people use RTV and it works fine. As for me, I used black high temp RTV and I'm trying to find a free weekend to pull my engine just to take the pan off and use FIPG. My pan leaks all over the place now.

So you used the black hi-temp RTV and it didn't work? This is one of those things I want to get right the first time. Thanks Eric
