Oil Pan Bolts

so wouldnt you know, when i finally get the right oil pan, it comes missing some bolts. Anyone know where to get them? i tried the dealership and all they could tell me was there are none in North America, and they are about 2 months away from Japan.

I have alot of JZ oil pan bolts here at the shop. witch ones are you missing? BTW Canadian dealerships suck big donkey balls... that's all! :biglaugh:

Well, im going to go down the the shop and grab all the bolts i have, that way i have an accurate count of what i need, and ill get back to you when i know %100. Thanks man! this has saved me alot of trouble.

Yeah try an ACE hardware store, take one or two of the bolts you have with you, and match them up with the ones you can find at the store.

Also be SURE you seal that pan up good while the motor is out, it is a PITA to do with the motor in the car. I know I've done it twice, well the lower pan anyway.

EDIT: Just saw that you're in the BC, not sure if they have ACE's up there, just find an equivalent.

i thought about going to a hardware store, but im fairly certian none around here even have metric bolts. Im going to start looking around, but i first wanted to try and sorce some actual oil pan bolts from toyota. They are avalable from Japan, but the are 2 months away...

Darryl, Canadian Tire has a great selection of metric bolts, just take one of them down and match them up. Do you need the bolts for the aluminium sump or the bottom oil pan?. I'll check today and see if I have any spares.

yes sir, for the aluminum sump. Right to the block, ive only got 1 of the long ones, and i think i need 6, and only 4 or 5 of the medium sized ones.
