My Drain plug is been leaking oil with the bolt plugged into it. I have a Copper Gasket installed with the Bolt. The Drain plug is not stripped. I always handed tighten it before using the wretch. Its dripping oil and it's annoying me ?? Anyone else had this problem ?? How can i stop this ??

Btw, it's a new Drain plug Bolt. it did it on the old bolt also.

Someone mentioned here to go to toyota and ask them for a paper gasket for the drain plug. it's like dollar something, i installed it and haven't had a problem since then. I m planning on getting a new oil pan next year.

The threads have nothing to do with sealing the oil drain plug. You still need to make sure you're using an OEM Toyota gasket in there.

i ment to say thread missing from the oil pan. whats the part number for the gasket then..
I went to the toyota parts counter, he had oil pan gaskets sitting there in a candy jar.. Was giving them out for free.
It did look like paper, nothing special but sealed for me.

Does that valve cause any loss of clearance? It looks like it could hit something on a lowered car...

At some point the plug was over tq'ed which seems to be confirmed by your "breaking" threads. It deforms the pan in that area making copper gaskets a joke. Napa has gaskets like this behind the counter. Bring gthe bolt in and match it up. I use a paper one (feels like thick cardboard) and covered it (VERY THIN layer) in gasket maker. Works perfectly.

What i do at work is use a later model trans plug gasket from another toyota, the aluminum one. Then be4 screwing it in, i add a little bit of FIPG, like a size of a finger tip. It hasnt leaked since i use that method.
