I have searched and I have most everything connected. Here is the issue.
I ordered the permacool universal kit and the thread tube that goes from the block to new housing is connected just right.. However there is only one of those threaded fittings. Now I have the remote filter end with no threads for the filter.. Does anyone know where I could buy one of these fittings.

In short I need a threaded connector from the oil filter to the new relocation housing..

I think you have to contact permacool for them to send you the Toyota filter adapter. I have the Summitracing universal kit which has all the needed adapters. What a lot of people dont realize is that the summit kit is the exact same thing as the permacool kit, only cheaper and with all the adapters. As a matter of fact. My Summit kit's instruction manual is from permacool. I remember in a old oil relo thread, someone had to specifically ask permacool for the Toyota kit, which might just be that piece you are missing.

Good luck

Is this the summit kit you are talking about with the right fittings and adapter?

Thanks

If that's the kit it doesn't have the fitting in it.. I don't need the toyota fitting. The kit only came with one threaded nipple.. the other fittings connect to the main part that connects to the block. You insert the correct small fitting and then screw in the nipple. When you have that set up you screw that to the block.. I have that part (to the block) already connected. I just don't have the nipple from the filter to the (new) remote bracket. The kit I bought uses a large PH type filter..

DO NOT get the trans dapt (TD) one. the hoses suck.

as shaeff said, get the NA filter nub. makes life way easier. thread size = 3/4" 16. then use a bigger mustang filter.

EDIT: and DO NOT use fram oil filters....they suck as well....

Got the fitting from Toyota yesterday. It was a hex fitting that mounts from the block to the (new) adaptor plate. It worked fine other than having to go back and remove the adaptor after all the exhaust side of the motor was on!!! :icon_mad:

Now I know.. If you buy the universal kit (perma cool) you need to buy this N/A fitting.

if you over tighten the cast block adapter dont be surprised when it cracks in half.

The permacool adaptor? I havent heard of any problems with it. I screwed it on hand tight and then used a wrench to add not even a quarter turn. Should be fine though..
