Ok I know I'm not the brightest man in the world but how the hell do you hook up a catch can? THE RIGHT WAY! Pics would be most helpfull. Oh and I know I posted in the 7MGTE section, which is where I wanted it but I will just let people know this is for a 7MGTE before the question even comes up. I know someone would have asked it. I really am just trying to find a way to eliminate all the hoses running over the motor.

Also for the IAC, can I just run a much shorter hose and put a breather filter on the end of it? Or will that mess a bunch of crap up? I had tried it once and it was whistling so damn loud, and the car ran like shit. So I put it back to the way it was.

what i did was..run hoses from the accordian hose and manifold and ran it to the catch can, other hose is hooked to valve covers.
you can kinda see it here:

and i hooked up the catch can to the front of the engine where air hits it so its cooled down.
personally i dont like those small breathers, i personally think they dont do the job effectivly as hooking it up to the accoridian hose, in which it always sucks air.

For the IAC yes and no. if your still running the stock AFM, you cant, as it will let in unmetered air and run like crap. its really just a bypass for when the throttle plate is closed, to give you fast idle when cold. if your running speed density (MAFT pro, VPC) you can run a breather on it,

I can't really see anything. Thanks for the advice of putting it up front though so it can get cooler air.

I have a VPC but when I ran the breather like I said above, it was doing nothing but whistling. LOUD

just for you =)

i think this is the best way, im not going for a show car engine so i dont mind if its long hoses ect.
green is for air (its connected to the accordian hose on one of the outlets)
p.s. i forgot to draw the extra one to the other valve cover.

purple is for the pcv (oil from vent covers)

and you can also see where iv put the catch can. its all routed so you dont really see more of the hoses and it goes through the stock air hole.
