I cought the MR2 feva!

Went to a local MR2 meet today with a buddy of mine. Met the nicest people and got a new love... A first Gen MR2. Looking for one now.

I need another car. Period. My supra is in need of some serious work and I am NOT going to give up on her. She just needs some good ol refreshing!

Also being a broke High school student, I need a car with a bit better gas milage, 28-30~ From a 4a sounds decent for me!

A good AW11 is not cheap...
They get ok gas mileage i suppose, but it'll just turn into another project.

yeah, I'm looking for a DD too while my MKIII is down for the swap. I'm trying to get a MKII but I know its just gonna turn into another project. Oh well we'll see. Good luck though i like the first generation mr2's too.

I'd go with a 2nd gen but the 1st gens are good just a bit underppowered in comparison, gotta love the 3S-GTE and the t tops and the curves of the 2nd gen.

You guys want a good DD with nice gas mileage? Go for an 84 or 85 Celica GTS (hmm, I can see Jeff chiming in here about this, hehe)

My 84 GTS (3.42 gears) got 36mpg on the highway
My 85 GTS vert (3.90 gears) got 27mpg highway (85 22RE has the highest hp for the Celica)

22R's are the DEVIL! Haha, my 85 did get okay gas milage I guess... but I'm glad I'm rid of it .

I just talked my buddy into buying an AW11 a couple months ago, it's a GREAT car, much more fun than any RA64 or RA65 . Much!

The AW11 has the perfect proportions, it's such a classic look to it, even though it is in an ultra-boxy package. They're just so great. Good luck with the search. They get pretty good gas milage, expect ~31-34MPG on the highway from my experience.

I think I found my Mr Deuce! Its black with a good engine. The guy said he rebuilt it with forged pistons and some HKS Cams. Has some wierd body damage thats only visable when the front hatch is open. One or both of the fenders have been replaced and the guy said they are flat black compared to the cars glass black look. Thats fixable always. To paint the whole car it probably takes the same ammount of paint to paint the Supra's hood!

I want it soooo bad. I considered parting/ trying to sell the Supra. Then I slapped myself and said IDIOT! Shant be done.
