I read about persons remanufacturing their OEM clutches to a KEVLAR composite. Who does this and how much extra torque (and longevity) will this give the OEM R154 clutches? Also, will the oem pressure plate need to be remanufactured to hold 500rwtq? If so, how is it and done and who do I send it to? :naughty:

making it to kevlar will help, but i didn't this can be done or who does it.
the Spec 2 disk is made of kevlar and holds 420 lb. of TQ, so maybe that will give u some kinda help. I dont think any one can give you specific # on what kind of TQ it will hold as i dont think any one has ever tried making their stock disk into kevlar.

Try it out and see how much TQ it can hold.

As for the oem Pressure Plate, upgrade to an ACT PP.

Are you trying to reach 500 HP with the stock disk thats converted it into kevlar?

Just get an aftermarket clutch. ACT HD holds like 650ft. lbs. I believe.
