OEM Carbon Kevlar Hood Ebay...

I was lookin round on ebay and came across an MK3 hood... bidding is low... low low... for it being carbon kevlar... Like no one's bid on it and its a 1 + 145 shipping...

Don't kno if there's a reserve or anything like that... but I figured I'd throw it up here and see if anybody was interested.

Oh and this is not mine...

If it sounds to good to be true it probably is, CFX sells one for like 650 so dunno why this one would be so cheap unless its fiberglass carbonfiber sticker.

Are you familiar with ebay ? Reserve not meet means he aint selling it at that price . It could be $500 , $1000 , $1500 you just don't know unless you ask him and he tells you .

Also , bidding always goes up at the last minute ( a lot ) so you can't really tell if interest is low until it is over .

I asked about that split in the middle of the hood a while back.

This is his answer :

"Dear suprastanger,

There is a seem down the center of the hood, the reason is that the Carbon Kevlar material is not wide enough to cover the whole hood. So unfortunately there is now way around it, the finish on the hood is still smooth."

I just figured out why IJ is so grumpy. his toilet paper is so hard it snaps like a cracker

please IJ get some softer toilet paper might i suggest multiple plys consider the addition plys to add benefit like a layers in a metal head gasket providing cushion and flex :biglaugh:

That is the only carbon hood that I would paint. I wonder if it is just a fiber hood with a carbon wrap for the look.

Nothing wrong with eBay just know what your buying. And that hood latch looks shitty and unsturdy.

And if you look at the 3rd big picture closely (turn your laptop or monitor sideways) you'll see that the carbon fiber fabric is wavy on the left side. Way worse than the seam, if you ask me.
