well, im also opting for a better braking system, simply cuz its obvious. safety first!

anyhow, i seriously dont have the cash to go for a full blown BBK but i have seen the OEM brembo discs available. i have looked for them quite a bit around but the only sites that have them seem to sell them for above $160 and dont even inform if its in pairs or per disc.

anyone know of any of the well known sites that sell them for a great price and without slots and drills?

i got new OEM front brembos. not drilled or slotted. i'm not liking them at all. i've had them on the car for about 2 months and there already getting hot spots on them and my braking at 90mph+ sucks balls.

No name brand from ebay. $165 shipped fr and rr.
cross drilled and slotted.
Works excellent with lifetime warranty ceramic pads from advance. $110 for fr and rr.
Have not had any fade, even from 120mph stops....

mine are from ebay and they work great. I think I paid 249 for all 4 discs w/ Axxis (PBR) pads. They work great until I have the ca$h for a BBK.

new rotors will probably not drastically increase your braking performance. you might want to look into pads first.

That is another option to consider, but don't forget to get you discs machined before installing new pads. Your discs will have uneven wear spots and most likely pitted. Machining them will get rid of this by shaving these blemishes off. Sometimes it isn't worth machining because the cost of a new discs can be $10-$20 more than machining/disc. This is why I bought everything brand new.

FYI - Supra OEM disks are 'throw away' from the factory; meaning that they are at the book minimum thickness when new, not leaving enough meat to allow machining. I guess that is a good excuse to buy slotted disks...

btw- running TRD pads on OE style disks, nice improvement over stock.

My stock rotor cracked in the rear... Crap...

Bought some eBay D/S rotors with Axxis M/M pads... So far so good... Eventually I'll do a BBK, especially if I get the power Im shooting for...

I was going to go with Brembo, but the ones I got on my NA would rust if it got foggy outside... They looked horrible... Stopping was great, but my ebay ones are just as good at stopping as the brembos and dont rust...

Where do you get yours done?
I pay $15 per disc to have mine done. So $60 for all 4 is a lot cheaper than ~$200.

I haven't done anything to the Supra yet, but the Celica(95 ST) had slotted/drilled front rotors(rear was drum) with TRD pads and showed no signs of fading even in SCCA Rallycross events.

im buying brembo drilled/slotted rotors froms driftmotions.com for $70 a peice and endless sports-s brake pads. and also using motul dot5 brake fluid and stainless steel braided teflon coated brake lines...... i think this is a good setup before going wtih a bbk.

well, in canada they are about $25 a disc. When you compare the price to a premium disc of oem quality the difference is about $10. Since price was no concern and oem brakes were not an option, so I chose the Brembo (a bigger difference in price from machining.
