I was trying to rule out any problems with my motor not running and looked at replacing the o2. Well the o2 wiring i have now is 3 wire and the o2 sensor i got from checker is a 1 wire. My question is which wire do I use or should i splice all the wires together?

Thanks

Do not splice the wires all together.
There are 2 for the heater circuit.
1 wire for the sensor.
Check your wiring diagrams, as I am only familiar with the 7M harness.

You will need an O2 sensor with at least two wires: signal and grounding.

Here's the O2 sensor types you can get:
1 wire: signal only, grounding through the body
2 wire: signal and grounding
3 wire: signal only, grounding through the body, heating; 2 wires
4 wire: signal and grounding and heating; 2 wires.

For proper installation you will want the 4 wire, but the 2 wire will also work, it will just take more time for it to heat up to get into it's working temp.

The jz engines need the grounding wire to ecu, the 7m's have grounding through the body.
