as long as you're still using an AFM setup with the stock ECU you will need a boost cut controller. In my opinion a MAFT would help this situation and be more versatile than a boost cut defender while still using the stock computer.

I guess I should have clarified slightly.

It's not so much boost cut as it is fuel cut at a certain airflow velocity. That is going to be your first hurdle.

You can avoid it temporarily with the lexus afm and 550cc injectors, but that only moves it, and doesnt REmove it.

It would be best for you to list your 'changes' so we can accurately assess the situation.

well thats kinda right over all. boost cut (it actually cuts spark btw not fuel) there are a few things that trigger fc but the biggest is the afm. to work around this you can get a lex afm/550s combo and that will be good enough for most people. i ran it for the longest time with an sp61gt.

what are your goals as you may be able to get away with just doing that or getting an HKS FCD (which i usually dont recommend as it clamps the signal)

another way to get around fc is like he stated previously a MAFTpro setup or hks VPC where you get rid of the afm completely. i run a vpc setup currently and love it. neither will totally eliminate fc for you but it will bump it up extremely high where you dont need to think about it (think 30psi+) malloy ran his boss550 out to 30 psi and eventually hit fc i think.

i think you need to read some and offer a bit more info and maybe we can help some more

the lexus afm can support craploads of horsepower. you just have to tune the car right. tuning is key, my friend.

i suppose this all revolves around what your power goals are, as to which electronics you get.
