My thoughts :


Microsoft -
Started strong. There EyeToy ( or whatever it's called ) was pretty impressive looking. Announced a Metal Gear spin off which is not exclusive, but still on XBOX finally. Some more Halo world games. Over all pretty decent.

Nintendo -
Boring. Wiimotion plus certainly wasn't very impressive. I am excited about the new 4 player 2D mario game coming out, as well as the new Mario Galaxy. Metriod also looked very good... other then that nothing too impressive.

Sony - Before this started I was thinking to myself, why doesn't Sony do more with the EyeToy? This Microsoft camera just killed anything the EyeToy has out for it. Well, about half way in they show a demo of 1 and 2 wands that can do everything the Wiimotion plus can do, with the EyeToy. So imagine a fullbody motion camera with wiimotion plus. It's like combining Microsofts new item, with the Wii's new item. That pretty much sums it up. Must see the video, the first person mode was very impressive, and the archery looked far better then the Wiimotion plus. They also looked extremely accurate. A ton of great titles were announced: FF14 PS3 exclusive, God Of War 3 demo ( looked very good! ), Resident Evil new PSP version, exclusive new mgs game for PSP, Gran Turismo 5 with crash damage, ferrari, and even nascar, Gran Turismo mobile with 800 cars, 36 tracks, little big planet psp, a little big planet like kart racer with a good track editor, final fantasy dissida ( 3rd person ff fighting game ).

What a good showing. I really felt Sony stole the show... and I really thought MS would have after their event.

Gran Turismo > Forza! But really both are great :). I forgot to mention Forza 3 though. I wonder how it will stack up. Graphics look better then Forza 2's PS2 graphics so far. I hope that GT can learn a lesson from the and do engine swaps now.

Forza 3 and GT 5 will both be great, but Sony's got the goods over the other two systems.

Too bad FF13 is going to be multiplatform, that will mean it's limited to the 360's capabilities, good thing FF Vs. is PS3 only.

MGS multiplatform will probably look worse than MGS4 due to the 360's limits as well :nono:

/\ that caught me off gaurd too i dont understand what hes getting at but it may be the fact that when you step on the brakes they light up in circle form not square?

I thought this was wrong too until i did research into it and im pretty sure i read somewhere the GA70 cars do that, but he could be making a joke at the cars being only 89+ body style. :biglaugh:


Id like to play GT5 myself before i say anything about it, i can only say what ive heard.

Im a little torn here. I though that Microsoft's conference was better put together but I think I like the line up of games better on the PS3. Not saying Microsoft's was terrible, because it was exactly the opposite. Fuckin' Left 4 Dead 2, Halo 3 ODST, Halo whatever the other thing was, Final Fantasy, Modern Warfare 2, ect.
Forza looked absolutely excellent.....untill I saw Gran Turismo 5. Oh my god. That game is brilliant. Its got freakin' NASCAR and FIA World Rally in it. I cannot wait.

And one other thing. When I saw Microsoft's Natal thing, I honestly thought this is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Why would I pay money for this shitty product. How many times am I going to want to paint or kick balls on my 360? How can using this stupid camera thing make Left 4 Dead, Halo, Half=Life, Forza, Fable, ect better? Well it can't its fucking dumb. And maybe its just me, but the camera/capture was really shaky and didn't seem well put together or polished.
But then I saw Sony's camera thing. Now that seemed accurate, well put together, and everything that Microsoft's wasn't. The FPS demo thing they showed looked like it might actually be USABLE. I was really impressed with that. Is it still useless? Probably, but it seemed less useless.

I'd say that there is some fanboy voting in here, yes.

I'm not biased towards any one system, I play them all and enjoy titles from each, but in my opinion, Sony has a better product and better titles.
