Nothing special, but I got a baseline dyno of my engine before it gets EMS + 58mm T4

Sharing results here, since the "horsepower list" is no longer that, but more of a "horsepower competition"

My engine has OE internals.
Bored .05 over, head is ported and polished, 3" bellmouth DP to 3" out back, stock everything else.

@10.5 psi on a dynojet

Overall, I was impressed. I thought I'd hit 260 or so. Also, this dyno reads about 10hp lower than any dyno in the area.

That's what I thought. I got the car/engine from a good friend, since he only drove the car to keep it from sitting (which it did otherwise). The engine was re-built ~7 yrs ago, and only has a little over 2k miles as of right now. So he told me what was done to it, but you never really know till you see it for yourself (tear it apart). But I think the results verify what was said to've been done.

I would actually guess the torque to be higher than what your showing on the graph. I find the 7M usually gets about 10-15% more torque than HP at the wheels.

Mind you.. the gap is better at 3000 RPM... looks like the car pulls hard : )

That's great reference info. I've thought that I'm sitting somewhere around that with a 54 trim CT-26, 3" exhaust (divorced DP), open element air filter, port matched exhaust outlets on the head and 11-12 psi. No port and polish on mine, but I figure an extra couple PSI should make up the difference. ;)

Thanks for sharing!

The wastegate is not shimmed, it's got a crappy MBC on it. I say crappy because I took the spring and ball out of it to get it to work :aigo:. I was reading boost off of a blitz turbo timer. My tuner swore up and down that all his cars hit cut around 14psi, and I swore up and down all mine hit around 9-10 psi :biglaugh:. We hooked up a mechanical gauge to confirm boost.

@ Grandavi. The torque might be higher on the road, but I think that graph is pretty much dead on. The engine made a whole lot of torque down low (more than usual) and it made more power up top than usual, I'm assuming due to the porting on the head. :naughty:

that seems about right. mine put down 280/360 @15psi.. only mods were lex/550's, k&n, bic ddp, hard i/c pipes,and full 3" exhaust. i can't wait till i get one of alberts turbo's and megasquirt. :)

That's a lot of torque o_O Some people say the ddp doesn't add any power. Having owned one, I'd beg to differ. I'll be putting a 58mm borg warner t4 on mine w/ AEM EMS. Albert's turbos do look really nice. I was thinking about getting one, but he'd never respond to my questions. Oh well....

^^ completely stock 2jz on stock boost should be close to where I'm at.

Thats what I was thinking, cause 320 bhp minus the drivetrain loss of roughly 10% still leaves it in the ballpark of 290.

Yea, stock 2jz stock twins should be around 290 hp. I hit boost cut between 10-11 (prosport) psi depends on the weather. KN filter, raptor racing ddp, 3" test pipe, and apexi n1 cat back, tt fuel pump, FMIC and hardpipes, have not set boost yet. Definitely want to get dynoed when vpc, fcon, bigger injectors, sp61, and ffim installed. Motor in different shell now so I need to install the greddy boost gauge and see where fuel cut is atm.
