but what the hell causes a bubbling/sucking sound located behind the glovebox? It has to be something to do with the AC/heater as it's only heard when I first turn the AC/heater on or when I change the temp.

I'm fairly certain that it's not air in the heater core / coolant lines. I've alrady had the waterfall sound.

How many servos are there in the air mix box? Did you had the same problem?

Thanks fellas

would a bad heater core have anything to do with it? I've been searching the issue & came across the bad heater core symptoms (oily windshield), which I have.

Bueller? Bueller?

Have the cooling system pressure tested. If the heater core is leaking it will show up, as with any other leaks. Gurgle sound IS air in the core. I took the toggle off the thermostat, drilled the hole to 5mm, the system burped itself free of air in 3-4 days. BUT....if it returns....probably a BHG.

Even though I have no coolant loss, no leaks, no BHG, I've decided that the heater core is on its' way out based on all of the symptoms others have had (matching to a T). For now I'm going to bypass it (I live in Florida).

The problem only occurs when you first start the A/C, or when you change the temp setting, so I really believe it's the air mix box. I'm hoping someone has fixed / replaced on & can give me some info about how to do it.

Thats a weird one. Florida=humidity. Is the drain hose for the a/c evaporator box plugged? It comes out thru the firewall at passenger foot area in engine compartment. I've seen several plugged. Condensed water will get trapped in the box and slosh around and make some gurgle sounds.

It's amazing what you can solve by using the search feature. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't keep my windshield clean. :icon_sad:
