Not sure if this is normal?

Good day all,

My 90T is running fine, although is it a little dirty when you start it after sitting for a couple of days. It does start right up, as always (knock on wood), but right when it starts when it has been sitting its very rough for about 20-30 seconds. any idea on this one?

Another thing is that even if the car sits for a couple of days, the upper rad hose remains hard, and when I pop the cap, it still has lots of pressure. I have replaced most of the coolant system, and sensors. Is this a normal condition for these cars when everything is tight in the cooling system. Before I replaced everything, there would be no pressure in the system after an hour or so.

Thanks,

Any smoke out of the rear when you start the car? Any oil loss? How do your plugs look, are they caked? Check for engine error codes.

Keeping pressure is not normal. As the coolant cools down after you shut the car off it should go back to its normal volume and pressure should be 0. Are you sure it's keeping pressure and you're not just misinterpreting what you feel? Pop the radiator cap after a few hours.

Sorry everyone, thanks for the response.

No codes. No smoke no nada. The plugs are new, and look great. I am not sure what is up. prolly cause I am running rich who knows.

as for the coolant pressure, when I pop the cap the pressure of course releases, and the hoses are new, and soft. I have a new rad cap.

This is the first car I have ever owned that retains pressure like that.

Sounds like bad radiator cap, or possibly your radiator neck is interferring with the radiator cap. What brand cap did you purchase?

I cannot remember the brand of rad cap, the sticker is off. I have done, and checked all of the obvious stuff. the overflow is workimg fine.

I go get another rad cap again and see if that helps.

my bad, not a pipe, but a coil. it makes it feel stiff. either its stock and nobody else has one or somebody added it into my setup before i bought the car....
