Nos in whipping cream?

I know nos is a brand name but I was reading wikipedia about nitrous and it said that nitrous is used in whipping cream cans (explains why everyone loves to get it right out of the can lol) and is also used in potato chip bags to get rid of the oxygen.

but at the low pressures and temperatures it is not inflammable but is a laughing gas.

i figured this out in high school, when my friends that worked at Dairy Queen used to suck the NO2 out of the cans and get head rushes. One time he fell over into the fresh cut tomatoes... thats was to damn funny
