Hey guys im new to the forum. my name is jeremiah and had a quick question.

Im building a 240sx (i know im sorry) with a 2jz/r154 (1jz bellhousing and 7mgte tranny)

I was wondering can i use a full clutch flywheel setup for a 1jz like an exedy twin or do i have to use a 1jz flywheel and 7mgte clutch. also what setups are you guys running? im looking for something that will hold over 550rwhp. any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks

Well the clutches are the same between the 1jz and 7m since its still an r154. IIRC I think people use a 7m flywheel with the 2j bolt pattern drilled into it?

HKS and OS Giken make twin plates for the 1JZ. Either of those would work. It would be less streetable than a carbon/carbon but also less money. I haven't seen a carbon/carbon clutch for the 1JZ, but Tilton might make them.
