Can I use a 7mgte intake on a 7mge?
-The 3000 pipe, 7mgte intake plenum and turbo piping leading up to the MAF

Is there an aftermarket CAI kit for us..Or do most of the guys on here just buy some aluminum 45 degree pipes and connect them with silicone couplers?

Is the header worth replacing/Upgrading ?

All of this is for now, You can that into effect as well.
Thanks for any help/comments or concerns.

Why would you? It will make no difference, and the intake plenum will make things worse since it won't include ACIS, unless you've got a Cressida in which case you should notice no difference. If you're going turbo, then I can see why this MIGHT be done, but if you're N/A, then you should have read the FAQ which told you that the only restrictions in our intake are the accordian section and the air filter.

Most either keep the stock intake, or modify parts of the stock intake. Occasionally there are people who do the Civic intake mod (which isn't recommended though).

Is the header worth replacing/Upgrading ?

That is for you to decide. If you're staying N/A, try it if you think it's worth a small increase. If you're going turbo, don't bother.

A turbo makes a CAI useless, that is why we have intercoolers.

Read the topic + section title. AFAIK, he's asking for an N/A application.

Just trying to get away from having to use that round donut thing in the middle of the n/a intake...And I already have a port/polished turbo intake plenum with nothing to do with right now.

And yes I'm going turbo...I have most of the parts but prolly wont have all the parts and time to do it until next summer.

The resonator? Better to keep it... the difference isn't HUGE, but it does actually help. Search helmholtz resonator... this topic's been beat to death, you should find plenty including links to some dyno experimentation and acoustic analysis which shows how it helps and why.

I was stating that you're wrong about a CAI not being useful on a vehicle with an IC.

If you ditch the NA intake manifold and the ACIS, you will notice a considerable drop in midrange power and will not be pleased with the outcome.
Buy a couple 45° bends and some couplers, be done with it.

RabidChimp makes an intake IIRC.

Please explain.

beside the fact that most people put a intake on and don't properly shield it from the hot engine air around it.

Most shields aren't going to help much either. To put it in astoundingly simple terms: you've got an intercooler capable of reducing air temps 10º... which air is colder after it passes through: the 70º air from outside of the engine bay or the 90º air from inside the engine bay. Of course we're not even adding the temperature bump the air sees from compression nor are we considering how the turbo's efficiency is affected by the different air temps... there are many benefits. I don't believe the stock box is nearly restrictive enough to cause any measurable loss of power on a stock GTE or any N/A 7M when compared to a hot air intake.

Stock N/A intake system looks like a bag of crap, lol.

Add streamers. ;) It's all there for a reason... if you don't care about loosing some power go to town and start removing things. The GTE intake will fit; you'll need to swap upper intake plenums and reroute a vacuum line or two.

What I did when I was N/A was buy the 3" intake adapter from Pep Boys (Specter brand iirc), and drilled the holes for the N/A AFM. I took a 45* 3" pipe and attached that to the adapter (routing it underneath the headlight), a straight 3" pipe to the 45*, and then a 3" AEM Dry-Flow filter. This sits it right behind the foglight, allowing colder air to enter the engine. I personally would not do this if you do not have the tray underneath, though.

You could also use header-wrap or heat shielding material to wrap the intake piping to keep out some of the heat from the exhaust (if you think it's worth it).
