Non working 7mgte for 150 w/ turbo?

sup my fellow supra brothers,

my friend gave me a call, and said that there is a 7mgte with the turbo for Sale for 150 dallors!!!? The engine is not running, i think they didnt do the headgasket correctly or it just blew.

should i still buy it for parts? even tho its not running.

i have a 7mgte 89 white supra wit 218,000 miles on it thats why still runnig good

can't tell til you go check it out. for $150 thats gotta be some major damage. or someone whose wife is making them get rid of it.

$150? check the car out. If it is in ok conidtions. Parting it out will net you more than the $150. Of course the engine not running might be a simple electrical issue

If its like around here: 75% chance it's bhg and/or RK, 25% chance it ran low on oil. If the block and head are intact and its not locked up go for it. Check for: holes in the block, turbo missing fins, does the crank spin, milkshake residue under oil cap, pop of the oil pan and valve covers and see what your working with.

Even if it's just the engine, the metal alone is worth more than that at a scrap yard...

The turbo and knock sensors alone, if in good condition, will more than pay for the whole motor.
