just wanna make sure this is as easy as it sounds, the w58 trans and drive line work 100% with the GTE engines. The swap just consists of a full motor, engine harness and ecu. correct? this shouldnt effect anything else in the car? as far as anything on the acc. or the dash? i probley jsut made it sound to easy i'll await the bad news haha

Yeah, just did this conversion for the 2nd time...

It's basically just like an engine swap, but a lot more crapp to hook up it seems.

Like the link said, just make sure you get the correct harness for your year Supra or you'll be stuck with a worthless harness and be sidelined until you get the right one. That's the only problem I've come across.

Oh, and make sure you keep your NA engine mounts and use them, I had a bit of a prob when I threw the NA ones out and tried to use the ones from the turbo. :icon_bigg

I don't know about "big hp", but anything in the neighborhood of 350whp or anything more than babying the transmission and you should be thinking of swapping to an R154.

IIRC NA and Turbo engine mounts are the same, no?
Isn't it just 86-88 and 89+ ?

^ I think you're right, but it ruined my day when I had to pull the engine back out to put on something that didn't add to the hp... :icon_conf

And ppl have 1/2j's and are still using the w58 in their mkII's, I don't think it's an absolute must, but the assurance should help a little since it's one less thing to worry about w/ the RK and BHG and all. :icon_bigg
