your poping the fuses?

i have seen combo switches go bad, and not illuminate the tails, head lights, parking lights, and blinkers and brakes work.

what happens is the contracts in the switch become corroded/ dirty, some times it's possible to take about the switch and clean every thing and re-assemble,

you should be able to track down the plug under the dash that connects into the combo switch, and then using the ewd from the tsrm site's. and find the correct wires, a power wire, and then the approrite device,

some make's and moddles use ground side switching, which means, the light's allready have power going to them, and they just need to be grounded to work, i think this is how toyota headlights are, im not sure about the tail's and brakes..

any how, if you jump the wires, it works, bad combo switch.

i had the same prob but my gauge lights wouldnt work either. think they are on the same circuit or something. i bought my car with an aftermarket cd player and i have had the same prob with my acura too. behind the stereo there were a couple loose wires shorting out the circuit and popping fuses. check behind the stereo and look for any exposed or damaged wires. i just cut the wires and wrapped the ends with electrical tape.
