no RPMS

my RPM guage doesnt work....everything is all hooked up....what can it possibly be? like...what could some of the possibilities be?

It isn't hooked up, the gauge is bad, the gauge is wrong for the pick up. Those are you choices.

The tach gets its signal from the igniter (turbo motor). You could have a break in the wire.

by any chance did you do a na>turbo swap? I see in your profile you have a w58 transmission. If so change the cluster to a turbo cluster or there is a way to change a resistor or some sort in the cluster. It as to do with the different ignition system.

dont need to change the whole cluster, just the tach itself.

i swapped out the entire harness from dash/firewall to headlights from the 89t to the 87 n/a body.....also the dash itself along with the cluster from the other car was placed in as well....

i believe this might be the reason.....b/c everything is worked be4 the swap...yet again i could be wrong....i build motors not wire harnesses and all that technical stuff...(yet):aigo:

if you already swap the cluster from Na>turbo than there is something wrong in the wiring if the tach worked before the swap. i good check would be if you have someone local with a turbo car willing to let you swap clusters just to check.

arrite....if worse come to worse ill juss put an aftermarket tach on or something....and if i were...where do i hook up the green wire that goes to the rpm signal???
