Eww! I just got my JDM mouldings, thinking they'd be just like any regular 89-92 mouldings. Great shape and all clips, BUT... no sidemarkers in the rear? No wonder when I installed the JDM tails there were no connections for the rear side markers. Japanese ones did not have it??

rare? no... NONE of the jdm mouldings have the rear sidemarkers as none of the cars there have them....

They dont have 'em. I picked up a set from Jarco for the twinturbo 2.5R badging for $80 ( Left/right) in excellent condition.I like them without the side markers. It looks so much cleaner.

Hehe. Yes, mine have the 2.5 Twin Turbo R badge too. I was thinking of removing that, though. I wanna paint them red, as my car. I've always liked the look of that "Rajunz" supra on cardomain (wonder if he's a member here), and his mouldings are red. Mine are too, the current 88, which are all bent and make the car look crappy.. plus, the two rear ones don't match the one for the center piece of my 89+ tails. I'm replacing the mouldings this week (gonna take it to the shop almost now!) along with 89+ front end conversion with euro fogs and clear turn signals. I hope the car ends up looking great. =)

Illegal? Dude, I've driven at 140mph in here, and NOT on freeways. Some cars dont even have lights. People use HID's that would blind Superman. Nobody cares about those rear side markers. =)
Funnily enough, if the cops see you talking on your cellphone while driving, your license is taken, although you can recover it in days, you have to pay for it. So only "handsfree" is allowed. Shitty laws in here. =)

North America is the only place that DOES have rear side markers, so no, the trim is not rare... well, not on a worldwide scale.
IIRC you can get them from Toyota still, Keelan...
