So i just put my motor in my new shell. Got it all ready to start up. Pulled the EFI fuse just to build pressure, and its never did. I have a cheap mechanical guage that ive used before with my other motor.

I drove this motor a couple times before i put it in this shell. I never had a guage on it when i did drive it.. Its a built motor, i bought it from some one on here. Im thinking it might be the brass crush ring thing that goes on the nylon tubing. Ive taken it off and put back on a couple times, and it looks weard and shaped... So hopefully its that...

Im just looking to see what you guys suggest me to do...

Thanks

Have you started it?

It takes a lot of cranking to build pressure. If you've cranked it a while i would just start it.

Not after i put it in mmthe new shell... But like i said ive driven the motor before a couple times, but with no guage. Idk after i check if a new guage will solve the problem, I may just start it n see if that does it... I just really dnt wanna ruin this engine! Lol

What would cause no pressure? I took the pan off wen it was out, and it looked like a new oil pump... Really clean, the guy b4 me said it is shimmed... I just wanna start this thing, and now im wonderin if i was drivin it b4 without oil pressure.. There was no bearin peices that i saw..

And on another note, my lights are on now even though they r down...?

i don't know what gauge set up you have but it just might be the connector from the sending unit to the gauge. I remember when i put my motor together i forgot to put the slide clip thing on the sending unit.

I just pulled off a line to my aftermarket oil cooler and it was filled with oil... So idk maybe it just needs to run for a bit? Im waitin untill someone comes home so i can have them crank it will i pull the line off to see if it pumps oil out...

its just a mechanical nylon tubing guage... i think its sunpro... but ya thats brass thing that goes around the tubing? thats the only thing that "slides" on this...

Yes that is compeltely related! Lol i hope thats what happens to mine! You gave me hope! Haha but i need to drain the gas oil yet because its like 2 years old. The motor wont fire up, it almost does so im guessin the gas is crap.

Thx!

no oil pressure on a new build with plugs removed= danger.

I had 20+psi on a fresh build with an elec. pressure gauge after 2 30second+ crank setions with plugs removed. delay was caused by filling the oil cooler and lines.. run the turbo oil feed line into a clear bottle, you'll see the pressure first hand..

with the plugs removed, there is 0 reason a healthy starter, battery and oil pump could not create pressure. assuming all else is 100% internally

Well my battery was shit and i onky had a couple rotations before it died... But i got it started and oil pressure is great! But i have rod knock!! :( so new bearings! Gotta wait a lil longer now... Hopefully that will do!
