If you run with out one, it will set a code 21 and will run Full rich VF correction which will screw up the whole TCCS, on a side note if you like getting 10 miles per gallon, (so rich that it could wash down the cyl walls and dilute the oil causing rod knock) Check engine light on, ECU in limp mode ect. Go for it :)

It has to be in its learning mode for long enough for it to set a code.. IE 70mph on the freeway for 20 miles or so.. Just driving around town and doing WOT pulls wont set the code

If your down pipe is after market and you have a threaded hole you can just use a screw type 3 wire o2 sensor.

and no...don't run the car without one.

You don't need use a threaded O2 sensor.... if your studs pulled out and you have two threaded holes, the screws that hold the wastegate actuator to the compressor housing on the stock CT26 will screw into those holes

What kind of down pipe is it? does it have a flange for the stock O2 sensor and is just missing the studs?

That's what I gathered... I ran a BIC DDP for a few months (while it was running haha), and I just used a couple bolts that fit the threads, problem solved.

Theres no threaded bolt holes, just a threaded bung... Its a 3in v-band DP... I had it where a wire went through the holes on the sensor, and wrapped it around the DP... :p lol
