Hey i've heard JDM 2J's don't use a MAF (mass air flow) but use a MAP (Manifold absolute pressure) Is this true ?? and if so is the JDM MAP different than the "Turbo pressure sensor". I need to know because my 2J is missing all sensors not bolted to engine. BTW I have a JDM Supra RZ engine, not an aristo engine and i know there are some differances because everyone says JDM waterpump is different then USDM but its only true for the aristos. my RZ has the USDM pump.

Anyway thanks in advance

Ok so the JDM one just completly eliminates 2 sensors ? Combo MAF/IAT, It still makes sense it could work I just wasn't sure if they went off that. Thats good though cause its an easy part to come by. ((And mine still works :D . . . . . I think))

It still has an IAT. It's mounted in the intake manifold.

Both JDM and USDM motors have identical pressure sensors. JDM uses it for MAP measuring, USDM uses it for other things, like boost cut. Both motors have IAT sensors. USDM has it mounted in the MAF, JDM has it drilled into the upper intake manifold.

OK thanks that is the answer i was Looking for. I will look at service manuel against actual engine to try and find IAT sensor.

You dont happen to know where the IATY is on the 2J do ya ?? I only ask because my 2J is in michigan and i am in ohio ATMi wont be home till friday.
It's mounted in the upper intake manifold, between the 2nd, and 3rd cylinder runner, pointing towards the motor. It's just behind the throttle cable bracket.
