So here is the deal. I'm sure people have answered these questions in other posts but I haven't been able to find one with all 3 of them happening at the same time.

Backstory:
I needed to get my starter replaced so I took it to a shop and they changed it out and my car started so I drove it out... Later on I found out that my check engine light was on... But the car still ran fine. Then I noticed the boost didn't boost like it used to prior to the new starter... Then I found out that the hazards no longer work.

So my question is can all of these things be interconnected??? Or is it just a freak accident. I can't find any tubing or wire that aren't connected properly. So i'm at a loss for what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For the CEL, check what code it is.
For the boost issue, Do a boost leak test.
For the hazzard lights, maybe check grounds or go throught the wiring diagram and trace those wires to see if anything could have happened.

Any other issues? electrical etc?

This is the exact reason why i became my own mechanic and started learning.

9 times out of 10 someone on here who takes there car to a plain old in and out shop comes on here with a post "Well i took it in there for "x" then when i came back out i noticed this, this and this was happeneing, my car is running like shit!"

Majority of the time those mechanics will unplug and remove some stuff to get to the starter, when they put it all back together, they forget to plug that
shit back up. And if its just a starter replacement, all they will do is check and see if it starts back up, if it does. then they hand it right back to you.

So i say look in the area of the starter, i can almost guarentee you there something unplugged or even plugged into the wrong spot...

Sorry for the delayed reply. So I found out that my fuse was blown for my hazards... put a new one in... and found out wiring in the horn is fucked. So my hazards work as long as I don't touch my horn.

Engine code = 52. Found out it is a knock sensor. Found the one, by the starter of course that wasn't plugged in. But when i looked at it further found out that they broke the fucking knock sensor.

I'm thinking when the knock sensor is fixed the turbo will boost as usual...

Fuck I hate people...

Figures. The guy I took mine to did the same thing (broke the KS while replacing the starter).

+1 to I6Boost's comments about doing it yourself. If your not a DIY person when you start with a 20+ year old car you soon will be after mishaps like this.
