NOYFB!
I know I saw a write-up before the latest crash, but now I can't find it. Just replaced the A340 auto, with a R154(Good move!):icon_razz I have the back-up lights, but no cruise control. I know there is some sort of splicing into the actuator harness necessary, but I need someone who has got the low-down on this to help me out.
Thanks;
Tom

My car still has the auto ecu, and the ect switch has been removed. Clutch neutral start has been disabled. Does not having the ect have something to do with it?
Thanks;
Tom

Hey Dave;

It did mean that it was on the road again for a short time! Now it's broke again! Something gave way with shift fork/throwout bearing,:aigo: my neighbor and I are going to fix it soon(he's got all the tools) Yeah, my learning curve to correctly drive the car will be steep!:biglaugh:

I would wire the clutch switch to pin #11 on the cruise computer so that it is grounded when the clutch is depressed and the cruise is cancelled properly. Make sure the wire isn't grounded anywhere else (it used to go to the neutral start switch).

Also, pins 6 & 8 from the cruise computer are monitoring the status of the #2 ECT solenoid and the overdrive status from the ECT ECU. I'm not entirely sure what these need to be, to make the cruise operate (or if they even make a difference), as my first 5 speed swap is still in progress. I'd try simply leaving them alone first and checking the operation. The TSRM has one of them at 0 volts (ground?) all the time (terminal 8 at the cruise computer) and the other (terminal 6 at the cruise computer) switching to 12v at coolant temperatures over 140F.

Of course, you will need a functional speedometer for the cruise to work as well.

Happy hunting and LMK if pins 6&8 need any fiddling or not, if you get to it before I do.
