I would pull the combo meter and clean all the plug contacts on the plastic sheet. I had an issue once where mine had some corrosion on them. Also put in a known good bulb and check the voltage to the bulb.

first thing to check should be the 7.5A IGN fuse in the driver's side kick panel.

if it's blown, start looking for shorted out wires.

You both suck :p. It's the 7.5A GAUGE fuse. If the EFI fuse was bad, the ECU would have no power. That being said, if the rest of the lights work, then it can't be the GAUGE fuse.

Did you check the old bulb? It's unlikely, but the new bulb could have been burnt out before you put it in. Check the bulb, and check for +12V to the connector for the gauge cluster (follow the leads on the flexible PCB).

hmm nope, i checked all of the fuses first thing, and they are fine, then i took off the guage bezel, and took the old bulb out and put another in. so i dont know. chriso, sorry but what is the combo meter?

Combo meter is your whole gauge cluster (at least that's what the TSRM calls it). I had to clean up all my connections on the plastic sheet on the back where the five or six plugs make contact with the copper tracks.

when my 7.5A IGN fuse blew, the dash still lit up, but the CEL did not...

at least that's how i remember it. i'm going to pull it out tomorrow and see if i remember that right. :)
