Limp mode? Plugged cat? is the CEL on?

how does it run other than seeming gutless? any smoke? and backfiring or misfiring?

you could check to make sure something didnt go wrong with your throttle cable by having someone push the pedal to the floor, then checking to see if you are getting full rotation of the throttle body valve.

NO to any of the following can be cause for a tranny overhaul.

Does it accelerate good with the shifter in the low position??
Yes? Then the torque converter is probably ok.

When you manually upshift to 2nd, does it still pull hard??? Yes?? then the clutch packs are probably ok.

When you move it to 'D' (OD off), does it keep pulling hard???

Then with OD engaged does it keep on going???
Yes???

Then it sounds like your problem is either in the automatic operation of the valve body, or the solenoids, or the transmission computer.

Best to have a reputable (meaning one that won't rob you) tranny shop check it out. They may be able to repair it without a complete overhaul.

But...be aware that most shops don't want to do "repairs". They just want to overhaul them. That is because if it screws up after they "fixed" it, you'll get pissed off. So a complete overhaul will fix everything, and you won't get pissed, and everyone is happy. (except you, because it will cost you about $1500)

I had the same problemon my N/A tranny, and after I pulled it out, I found that my tranny plug wires were cut. I'd suggest checking the terminal connections, and maybe the solenoids. I can't find the terminal diagram right now, but I'm pretty certain I found it on the TSRM online. Check on there right quickly :icon_bigg
